Build. Learn. Live the Experience.

The Clay House Summer Workshops 2026 are designed for those who want to learn about ecological construction through hands-on practice, using natural materials and traditional techniques adapted to today’s needs.
La Origini is a learning space rooted in experience, where building, nature, and a simple rhythm come together in an authentic setting.
What Is “The Clay House” Workshop
“The Clay House” is a summer workshop program focused on ecological construction using natural materials: clay, straw, wood, and earth.
The workshops are designed to provide participants with a clear, practical understanding of the core principles of natural building.
The program is modular and available in two formats:
- Extended weekends (Thursday–Sunday), each dedicated to a single theme
- 7-day immersive workshop, integrating all themes into one continuous learning journey
What You Will Learn in 2026
The workshops are structured around four essential natural building modules:
Natural Wall Construction
Building walls using wattle and daub (clay infill timber structure) and cordwood (roundwood masonry with natural mortar), finished with clay, sand, and straw plasters.
Clay Oven
Building a clay oven from foundation to finish, using natural materials, with a focus on functionality and thermal efficiency.
Clay Floor
Layering systems, recipes, and application techniques for durable natural floors.
Living Green Roof
Structure, waterproofing, and vegetation layers.
Regardless of the chosen format, the focus is on understanding the process, not just execution.
A Typical Day in the Workshop
Mornings are dedicated to hands-on building, working directly with materials and following the technical stages of the selected theme.
Afternoons are reserved for time in nature: walks, light hikes, and moments of rest.
The pace is balanced and pressure-free, adapted to the group and the natural environment.
The La Origini Experience
The workshops take place in a natural setting that encourages:
- mindful, attentive work
- collaboration

Accommodation is in personal tents, under the open sky.
